Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

Construction/Retail Fit Out experience: You will have knowledge and experience of the European construction and shop fit industry including knowledge of Building Permits requirements & general European legislation processes enabling you to successfully manage retail projects up to €5m.
Strong Project Management experience with another leading International Retailer with a strong track record in Retail Role Out programmes especially in Spain &Portugal and European markets.
You will be able to manage multiple, simultaneous projects across a number of group fascia’s keeping them on budget and delivering them on time & to the highest standards with particular focus on adapting Cost Management to the required local markets and developing a strong cost focus on budgets and value engineering.
Excellent communication & influencing skills: You will have the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and departments through, face to face, oral and Presentations.
Numerate and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications: Degree or recognised project management qualification.
This role is field based and you will need to be geographically mobile to support our vastly expanding store network.
Self-motivated, with natural Leadership qualities. You will lead a small projects team and need to lead the team by example.
Technically competent with knowledge of various software programmes.
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.
Can react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Flexible during times of change.
Extensive travel and periods of time away from home in Country and abroad as required.
Bilingual in Spanish & English essential, Portuguese beneficial and any other European languages being advantageous to the role.
Base for this role is in Spain.
Full European Driving Licence essential.
Must hold a Full European Passport allowing cross Boarder traveling throughout Europe.
Role Overview:

Managing New Stores, Refurbishment and Acquisition Projects to strict deadlines to aid the European Expansion Programme. The role focuses on new store openings, extensions and re fits primarily in Spain & Portugal, the role may extend into other regions as required. This role supports our existing European remit to act as a centre of excellence to drive store standards to a market leading level.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Group Projects Manager - Europe, you will be an Experienced Project Manager with a wealth of knowledge and proven track record in delivering Retail Projects. Your experience will mean that you are able to run multiple projects in numerous Countries simultaneously. In this position you will be a role model PM boasting the skills to not only run your own projects but to also assist in Managing the PM Team for Southern Europe. Your organisation skills will be at the highest level and you will have the ability to train and develop newer Team Members ensuring that the Team constantly gains new skills to assist in driving the Region forward whilst delivering your own projects to the highest standards. This position also oversees the Development of our General Contractors and Sub Contractors, We are constantly reviewing who we are working with and looking to give our external teams the next big opportunity, so having regular review meetings and interviewing potential new companies for JD to work with is what keeps us fresh and looking our best across Europe and beyond. This position not only manages but constantly evaluates the end to end project cycle of new stores, re-fits and extensions to highest standards. This includes managing and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects to plan.
Working alongside our Internal Team of Quantity Surveys you will be required to Develop, monitor and control the budget for each project keeping the Team updated at all times.
Ensure best practice and health and safety is adhered to at all times
Lead and support the wider Project Team delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation and presentations where appropriate
Strive for excellence in all JD processes within the Projects team, continually reviewing and developing improvements.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans as required
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors encouraging them to take positive action and assume accountability for their assigned work.
